2 tbsp butter
1 onion, chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 Maggie Vegetable tablet, crushed
- Beat the eggs with Maggi vegetable tablet. Leave aside.
- In a pan over medium heat, sauté the onion in butter until tender and turns yellow in color.
- Add the chopped tomatoes to the onions, stirring for a few minutes.
- Add the eggs, stirring, and leave over low heat for 5 minutes or until cooked. Season to taste and serve the shakshouka hot.
You can add sliced green pepper and spices as desired.
Eggs are an excellent source of choline, which promotes correct nerve and muscle function. When consumed during pregnancy, choline may be a key factor in the development of infants’ memory functions and, later in life, choline may improve memory capacity.
